One in four homes in Nevada is in distress; foreclosure is imminent. If you elect to go through mediation, it might not only buy you some time, it could also lead to a compromise with your bank.
Verise Campbell launched the Foreclosure Mediation Program, which the 2009 Nevada Legislature created. Campbell says since the program's inception exactly one year ago, some 9,000 Nevadans have gone through it. She even touted an 85% success rate, including home loan modifications.
