Nevada Highway Troopers Arrest California Speeder

Posted: Updated:

A woman who led California authorities on a high-speed chase along Interstate 80 has been arrested in Nevada.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says 59-year-old Susanne Marie Meyer of Paradise, Calif., was stopped and arrested just after 10 a.m. Monday in west Reno after troopers put out spikes to puncture the tires on her 1999 Mercury Sable.

Troopers say Meyer at times was traveling more than 100 mph.

She's also suspected of failing to pay for gas at a California service station.

The NHP says Meyer was booked in the Washoe County Jail for speeding and a felony charge of eluding a police officer.

Other charges are pending in California.
