Senator Majority Leader Harry Reid says more than $5 million in economic recovery dollars are headed to Reno's V.A. medical center.

"What we are doing with the V.A. hospital is so important. We have World War II veterans who are aging. The Korean War veterans and Vietnam veterans and we have thousands of coming home from Afghanistan and Iraq. They deserve this facility and even more."

The money will help renovate the community living center and urgent care center. It will also help upgrade elevators and refurbish heating and air conditioning units and the hospital floors.

Reid says not only is this money important for our vets, but it will help put Nevadans back to work as well.
