ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A public auction for two historic Elko casinos has been held, transferring ownership to a new operator.
Northern Nevada Asset Holdings on Wednesday bought Commercial Casino, Stockmen's Hotel & Casino and the Scoreboard in Spring Creek for $900,000 total.
The auction was held at the Elko County Courthouse. There were no bidders at the public auction, which let Northern Nevada Asset Holdings move forward with the purchase.
Holder Hospitality Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June.
A Northern Nevada Asset Holdings attorney said in December that 777 Gaming would manage the properties on an interim basis. A Northern Nevada Asset Holdings official says the short-term plan is to stabilize and improve the properties.
