After a 27-year run in Reno the Birkenstock store in the Reno Town Mall is closing it's doors for good next month.
But it's not because of the economy. The owner says after working for more than 40-years she's ready to retire. "The corporation didn't make a lot of money but we held our head up...everybody's gotten what they needed so I think a lot of things in the economy are very nerve racking right now, and I think it's wonderful this store has been holding up so well," says Susanna Money.
Susanna says they are helping the employees find jobs. They will receive two months' severance pay as well.
The store's last day is january 24th.
