Zoeggeler leads Italian 1-2 World Cup finish

IGLS, Austria (AP) - Armin Zoeggeler has edged Wilfried Huber by 0.097 seconds to lead Italy to a 1-2 finish at a men's luge World Cup race.

Zoeggeler finished in a combined time of 1 minute, 37.988 seconds on Sunday for his 47th career title. He won the season-opening race in Calgary last week,

Viktor Kneib of Russiawas 0.103 seconds back in third for his career best World Cup result. Tony Benshoof was the top U.S. finisher, placing 10th in 1:38.255.

Canada won the team relay after favorite Germany was disqualified for not hitting the stop button at the finish. The Canadian team of Alex Gough, Sam Edney, and Chris and Mike Moffat finished in an aggregate time of 2:10.864.

Austria was 1.004 seconds back. Latvia placed third, trailing Canada by 1.230 seconds. The American team of Bengt Walden, Erin Hamlin, Matt Mortensen and Preston Griffall finished fourth, 1.403 seconds behind the Canadians.
