Many local families are simply unable to buy Christmas gifts for their children so that's where Camp Christmas comes in.
The Salvation Army, along with Americom Broadcasting and RTC are hosting the 6th annual Camp Christmas toy drive at Meadowood Mall.
They are asking donors not to wrap the presents so the parents will be able to pick out gifts that their children might want. "The parents they want to be able to give something to their children. Every parent wants their children to have something for Christmas and this is just a way to help them do that," says Carole Miller.
There are more than 2,000 families signed up for assistance so they need your help.
The toy drive is going on now through Sunday night in Meadowood Mall's northwest parking lot near Bully's.
