WATSONVILLE, Calif. (AP) - Watsonville police are looking for suspects after two men were stabbed in a busy shopping area.
Watsonville police Lt. Ed Gluhan says the two men in their 20s were stabbed around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday outside a supermarket.
1 of the men was transported to a trauma center. The other man suffered a hand injury, but declined treatment.
Gluhan says the stabbings took place as the two men argued with a group of 3 to five other men.
Investigators believe the attack was gang-related. Neither victim is cooperating with police.
Even though dozens of shoppers were streaming in and out of the store at the time of the attack, police had no immediate descriptions of the attackers.
Police are hoping surveillance video from nearby stores will help identify the suspects.
