USA Luge veteran Tony Benshoof says his back pain is under control for now, and he expects to resume his quest for a third Olympic berth at this weekend's World Cup stop in Igls, Austria.

Benshoof re-herniated a surgically repaired disk in his back last week. He took a cortisone injection on Monday in Calgary, then flew to Igls on Wednesday without any new problems flaring up.

Benshoof says he'll resume on-ice training Thursday. The men's race in Igls is Sunday.
