Phone Book Recycling Program Kicks Off Monday

The annual phone book recycling program kicks off Monday, November 16th in northern Nevada.

Through December 31st, you can recycle phone books at several locations in Reno, Sparks and Washoe County.

This is the 19th year the organization Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful has coordinated this recycling program.

Here is a list of locations where you can drop off your old phone books: 

Washoe County

  • Bartley Ranch Regional Park
  • Lazy 5 Regional Park
  • North Valleys Sports Complex
  • Rancho San Rafael Park
  • South Valleys Library
  • Sun Valley Community Park

Reno

  • Fire Station #14
  • Neil Road Recreation Center
  • Northwest Pool
  • Reno Tennis Center
  • Evelyn Mount Northeast Community Center

Sparks

  • Alf Sorensen Community Center
  • Sparks Parks and Recreation
  • Sparks Marina
  • Sparks City Hall
  • Fire Station #5 

You may also drop off phone books at Scolari’s, Sak ‘n Save, Waste Management Recycle America and AT&T offices. Or, you can simply leave the books with your curbside recyclables.
