MINDEN, Nev. (AP) - A judge has revoked probation for the ex-wife of a Douglas County murder victim after she drank in violation of a suspended sentence for a second drunken driving conviction.
East Fork Justice of the Peace Jim EnEarl on Wednesday imposed a 175-day sentence on Dawn Oxley, who pleaded with him to send her home to care for her three children.
Oxley said she's a single mother who had been using alcohol as an escape since the February 2008 murder of her ex-husband, Benjamin Oxley.
She admitted drinking on Oct. 22 because of stress.
Benjamin Oxley was shot to death in his Minden-area home. His killer has not been captured.
The Oxleys were divorced.
