ELY, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a cement truck driver died when his truck blew a tire and the loaded rig overturned in eastern Nevada.
Authorities say 45-year-old David Garrett of Baker was wearing a seat belt but died of severe injuries suffered in the Tuesday accident.
Investigators say Garrett's truck was carrying about nine yards of concrete on State Route 379 when the tread on his left front tire separated about 50 miles southeast of Ely.
Garrett lost control of the truck, which ran off the road and overturned when the tires became furrowed in soft dirt.
The truck came to rest on is top.
