Former State Assemblywoman Sharron Angle formally announced Wednesday she's running against Democratic Senator Harry Reid.
"What I always say is, 'don't read my lips, read my record.' I have a record that stands for itself. You don't have to suppose or think about what Sharron Angle might do. You don't have believe her or not. You can go to my record and see what I've done in the past."
In the past Angle has stood out as being a staunch conservative against higher taxes.
She says she's got a plan to help out Nevada's struggling economy. "The thing that needs to happen is we need to stimulate small business to create those jobs that we've always been able to create before, bring us out of the slump that we're in and then to look at diversification in the state and that goes to the energy industry."
Angle says she supports alternative energy since Nevada is a resource-rich state.
