HONOLULU (AP) - The Department of Defense has announced the death of a Marine, Lance Cpl. Alfonso Ochoa Jr., 20, of Armona, Calif.
A department statement said Ochoa, who was stationed at the Marine Corps base at Kaneohe Bay, died Oct. 10 while supporting combat operations in Farah province.
He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.
