Freshman Jackson Leads Nevada Softball to First Win of 2018

In his first collegiate start, freshman Jake Jackson dominated on the mound to help lead Nevada (1-2) to an 8-1 victory over UC Irvine (2-1) on Sunday afternoon. The Wolf Pack recorded eleven hits on the day. Jackson (1-0) earned the win in his first career college start, finishing with only three hits allowed and five strikeouts through six shutout innings.

Nevada Softball Struggles in Loss to FIU

The Nevada softball team concluded the final day of the Desert Classic on Sunday with a 5-1 loss to FIU. After the first 10 games of the 2018 season, the Wolf Pack now moves to 3-7 on the young year. Nevada’s offense struggled throughout the game as the three hits recorded marks a season-low.
